Tabor Handmade is a one woman show. I begin with rough lumber, primarily walnut and hard maple, and take it though the milling process myself to create unique handmade wood products. My original designs have a modern bent that offer both beauty and function, making these handcrafted cutting boards, serving boards and rolling pins perfect for everyday use and enjoyment.
I was born and raised here in Oregon and have called the city of Portland home since 2000. I am an elementary teacher who found a passion in woodworking several years ago. I started out making furniture for myself and have since taken several classes on woodworking and woodturning. I've always had a love for art and the creative process and find it very satisfying to design and create something that others can use and enjoy! Given that I'm a full time teacher, I take advantage of breaks and long weekends to woodwork. I also am an avid runner, enjoy various sports and can be found hiking the beautiful northwest.
